Running AI at scale

LanceDB

A database for storing and searching the data AI apps use, including text, images and video.

New this week

What it does

AI apps often turn text, images and other content into lists of numbers called vectors, which make it possible to search by meaning. LanceDB is a database built to store and search these quickly.

It can also search by keyword or with SQL (a standard database language), and keeps track of versions of your data. Its makers say it can handle very large amounts of data.

The open-source version runs on your own computer or cloud. The makers also offer a paid cloud and enterprise version.
