Labelme

A drawing tool for marking objects in images and videos to create training data for AI.

What it does

To teach an AI to recognise things in pictures, people first label examples, for instance drawing an outline around every car in a photo. Labelme is an app for doing that.

You can draw polygons, boxes, circles, lines and points, tag whole images, and label video. AI helpers can turn a single click, or a typed description, into an outline automatically. Labels can be exported in common formats used to train vision models.

It is available in about 20 languages.

Who it's for

Researchers, students and teams preparing image data for computer vision.
