Kaku

A ready-to-use Mac terminal app with built-in AI help and support for AI coding agents.

New this week

What it does

Kaku is a terminal, the app programmers use to type commands, for Mac. It's built on WezTerm and comes with fonts, themes, tabs and Mac shortcuts already set up.

It shows which AI agent is working and on what, and notifies you when Claude Code needs your input. An optional assistant can suggest a fix when a command fails, turn a plain-language description into a command, or chat about what's on screen.

The AI assistant uses an AI service you set up yourself; Kaku doesn't provide one. It also lets you reach your Mac's terminals from a browser on another computer.

Who it's for

Mac users who work in the terminal, especially with AI coding agents like Claude Code or Codex.

Can I use it without coding?
