What it does
jcode is an AI coding agent for the terminal. Its makers say it uses far less memory and starts faster than similar tools, so you can run dozens of agents at once.
When several agents work in the same project, jcode lets them message each other and warns one agent when another changes a file it was using. Agents can also start their own teams of helpers.
It includes a code-search tool designed to save the AI from re-reading the same code, and a mode where the agent can modify and rebuild its own software.
Who it's for
Programmers who run several coding agents at once and care about speed.
