Herdr UI

A desktop app for watching and managing terminal sessions and AI coding agents run by a Herdr daemon.

New this week

What it does

Herdr UI is a desktop window for Herdr, a separate background program (a daemon) that runs terminal sessions. You install Herdr yourself first. This app connects to it and shows its terminals, split panes, tabs and workspaces. The README notes it is an unaffiliated project, not made or supported by Herdr.

A sidebar lists your projects, Git worktrees (extra working copies of a code project) and each AI agent with a status dot showing whether it is idle, working or waiting for you. You can review an agent's code changes, leave notes on lines like comments on a pull request, and send them back to the agent. You can also mark up a web page in a browser tab and send those notes to an agent.

Other features include saved SSH connections to other computers, moving a worktree to another machine, CPU and memory meters, a display of how close your AI service plans are to their usage limits, many colour themes, and desktop notifications when an agent needs you.

Who it's for

Developers who already use the Herdr daemon to run AI coding agents in terminals and want a graphical window to keep track of them.

Can I use it without coding?
