Running AI at scale

Helicone

Tracks every request an app sends to AI models, showing cost, speed and quality, and routes between providers.

New this week

What it does

Helicone is an observability platform for AI apps, meaning it lets developers see what their app is doing. It logs each request to AI models so teams can inspect conversations, debug agents and track cost and speed.

It also works as an AI gateway: one API key and address that can reach many AI models, with automatic switching if one provider fails. There are tools for testing and managing prompts.

It can be used as a hosted service, which its makers say has a free monthly tier, or self-hosted with Docker.

Who it's for

Developers and teams running AI-powered apps who need monitoring and cost tracking.

Can I use it without coding?

Developers only. Using it means changing your app's code, or self-hosting it with Docker. New to this? Start here.

Can I run it?
