What it does
gws is a single command-line tool (you type commands in a terminal) for Google Workspace: Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Chat, admin tools and more. It builds its commands automatically from Google's own list of services, so new features show up without an update.
It's designed for AI agents as well as people. Every answer comes back in a structured format that AI can read easily, and the project includes a large set of agent skills, including ready-made recipes for common Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar and Sheets tasks.
Setup requires a Google Cloud project for signing in. The README notes that it is not an officially supported Google product and is still under active development, so commands may change.
