What it does
Guardrails helps developers make AI apps more reliable. It places checks, called guards, around an AI model to spot risky or unwanted content in what users send and what the model replies.
Ready-made checks, called validators, cover things like toxic language, mentions of competitors or text that doesn't match a required pattern. Several can be combined. It can also help get structured data out of AI models.
The README notes that validators are moving to ordinary Python packages and that the hosted remote checking service is being discontinued.
Who it's for
Developers who build apps on top of AI models and need safety and quality checks.
