What it does
Graphiti helps AI agents remember things. It builds a "knowledge graph", a map of people, products and ideas and how they're related, from conversations and other data.
What sets it apart is time: each fact records when it became true and when it stopped being true. For example, it can store that someone liked a brand as of a certain month, and still know what was true before. Every fact links back to the original data it came from.
Agents can then search this memory by meaning, keywords and relationships. It updates as new information arrives, without rebuilding everything.
Who it's for
Developers building AI assistants or agents that need a lasting, up-to-date memory of users and data.
Can I use it without coding?
Developers only. It's a Python library that also needs a graph database. New to this? Start here.
Can I run it?
- Cost
- Free, but needs an AI accountThe software is free, but it uses an online AI service (like OpenAI or Anthropic), which usually charges for use.
- Privacy
- Sends what you give it to an online service
- API key
- Needed. An API key is a password-like code from an online AI service. What's that?
