GPT Image 2 Prompt Gallery + Skills

A gallery of example prompts plus add-ons and a command-line tool for making images with OpenAI's image models.

New this week

What it does

This project collects many example prompts for OpenAI's GPT Image models, sorted into categories with sample pictures, so you can see what works and copy ideas.

It also includes two skills for AI agents such as Claude Code and Codex: one to create or edit images, and one to work out a prompt from an existing picture. A command-line tool does the same from a terminal.

The author suggests short prompts with a clear reference image, sketch or layout work best.

Who it's for

Designers, creators and agent users who make images with OpenAI's image models.

Can I use it without coding?

With some setup. Browsing the gallery is easy, but making images needs an OpenAI account and an agent tool or the command line. New to this? Start here.

Can I run it?

Cost
Free, but needs an AI accountThe software is free, but it uses an online AI service (like OpenAI or Anthropic), which usually charges for use.
Computer
An ordinary computer is fine
Privacy
Sends what you give it to an online service
API key
Needed. An API key is a password-like code from an online AI service. What's that?

Try it

  1. Browse the prompt gallery on the project page for ideas.
  2. Add the image skill to an AI agent tool that supports skills, or install the command-line tool.
  3. Connect your OpenAI account and ask for an image using a prompt from the gallery.

Using Claude Code, Cursor or another AI coding assistant? Paste the prompt and it will walk you through the setup.New to this?
