What it does
GPT Academic is a browser-based interface for AI language models, built especially for academic work. With one click it can polish or proofread writing, translate text, find grammar errors and explain code.
It can read whole PDF or LaTeX papers (LaTeX is a format scientists use to write papers), summarise them and translate them in full. Other add-ons fetch arXiv papers, help draft related-work sections from Google Scholar results, and analyse code projects.
It works with many models, including OpenAI's GPT models and Chinese models such as Qwen and GLM, and some models can run locally. The main README is in Chinese, with translations available.
Who it's for
Students, researchers and academics who read and write papers, especially in Chinese and English.
Can I use it without coding?
