Add-ons for AI coding tools

GitHub MCP Server

Lets AI assistants work directly with GitHub: reading code, managing issues and reviewing changes.

What it does

The GitHub MCP Server connects AI tools to GitHub, the website where many people store and work on code. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way for AI assistants to use outside tools.

Once connected, an assistant can browse and search code, create and update issues and pull requests (proposed code changes), check automated build results, and look at security alerts, all through plain-language requests.

GitHub hosts a ready-to-use version, and there is also a version you can run on your own computer.
