What it does
Genkit is a toolkit for developers adding AI to their apps. It gives one consistent way to use models from Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Ollama and others, so you can switch between them easily.
It supports common AI app patterns like multi-step workflows, agents, and searching your own data. A local developer page helps test prompts and see what happens at each step.
It is available for JavaScript/TypeScript and Go, with Python and Dart versions at earlier stages. Its makers say it is used in production by Google's Firebase.
Who it's for
App developers who want to build AI-powered features.
