What it does
GenieX is a tool from Qualcomm for running AI language models and vision-language models (which understand images too) on your own device. It works only on Qualcomm Snapdragon chips.
It runs on Windows laptops with Snapdragon X chips, on Android phones, and on some Linux devices. It can use the chip's NPU (a part made for AI), its graphics chip or its main processor.
You can load many models from Hugging Face or Qualcomm's own AI Hub, chat from the command line, use it from Python or Android apps, or run a local server that other apps can talk to.
Who it's for
Owners of Snapdragon devices and developers building on-device AI apps.
