Fragments

An open-source template for building apps that create working mini-programs from a text description.

New this week

What it does

Fragments is an open-source version of tools like Claude Artifacts and v0, where you describe an app and AI writes and runs the code. It is a starter project developers can copy and customize.

The AI-generated code runs safely in a sandbox from E2B, the project's makers. It supports Python, Next.js, Vue, Streamlit and Gradio apps.

It works with many AI providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral and local models through Ollama. A hosted demo is also available.

Who it's for

Developers who want to build their own AI app-generator or code playground.

Can I use it without coding?

Developers only. You need to download the code, install it and add API keys. New to this? Start here.

Can I run it?

Cost
Free, but needs an AI accountThe software is free, but it uses an online AI service (like OpenAI or Anthropic), which usually charges for use.
