What it does
Flyte is a tool for organising and running large computing jobs, especially machine-learning work. Developers write each step as an ordinary Python function, and Flyte runs the steps, in parallel where possible, across a cluster of computers.
It can also put trained models online so other programs can use them, and it is designed to run AI agents dependably over long periods.
It is part of the LF AI & Data Foundation. Its makers say an open-source backend for the newest version is coming, and a ready-to-use backend is available today from the company Union.ai.
Who it's for
Data and machine-learning engineers who run training pipelines, models or agents at scale.
