What it does

FlagEmbedding is the home of the BGE models. They turn text into lists of numbers (embeddings) so a computer can tell which passages mean similar things, which powers smart search and document-answering chatbots.

It also offers rerankers that put the best matches first, and tools to adapt the models to your own data. Some models handle more than 100 languages.
