What it does
fastai is a Python library for building and training "deep learning" models, the kind of AI that learns from examples. It's built on PyTorch, another popular AI library.
Its makers say you can build an image classifier, a text sentiment model or a recommendation system in about five lines of code. It is closely tied to a free online course and a book, and its documentation pages can be opened as interactive notebooks in Google Colab, so you can try it without installing anything.
Who it's for
Learners, programmers and researchers who want to train their own AI models.
Can I use it without coding?
Developers only. You need to write Python code, though you can run it free in Google Colab without installing anything. New to this? Start here.
