What it does
Evolver looks at an agent's logs in a project and picks a matching "Gene", a compact piece of learned know-how, then writes a prompt for the agent to use. Every change is recorded so you can audit it later.
It can hook into tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode. Its makers say it works fully offline, with an optional online network for sharing skills.
The makers also published a research paper on why this "Gene" approach works better than longer skill documents.
