ERNIE 4.5 and ERNIEKit

Baidu's openly published ERNIE 4.5 family of AI models, plus a toolkit to train and adapt them.

New this week

What it does

ERNIE 4.5 is a family of AI models from Baidu that work with text and, in some versions, images and video. The family ranges from a very small model to a very large one.

The README says the models are released under the Apache 2.0 licence for research and development. Its makers report strong results on tests of following instructions, general knowledge and visual understanding.

ERNIEKit is the matching toolkit for fine-tuning, meaning teaching the models new skills with your own data. It is built on PaddlePaddle, Baidu's AI framework.

Who it's for

AI researchers and companies who want to use or adapt large open models.
