Elephant-Goldfish Model (EGM)

A plugin for AI coding agents that helps you plan a software feature and have fresh AI reviewers check the plan.

What it does

EGM is a plugin for AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Antigravity. It adds a set of "skills", ready-made instructions the agent can follow, for designing software before any code is written.

An "elephant" agent keeps your project's background in mind and helps you write a specification, a written plan for a new feature. Then "goldfish" reviewers look at that plan without seeing the earlier conversation. Its makers say this helps reveal hidden assumptions and blind spots.

You stay in charge: you choose the trade-offs, decide which review findings to act on and approve the design before asking the agent to build it. Other skills turn notes into design documents, write documentation for existing code and compare documents with the current code to spot differences.

Who it's for

Software developers who already use an AI coding agent and want to plan larger features carefully before building them.

Can I use it without coding?

Developers only. It is installed with a few commands into a coding agent and is meant for planning software projects. New to this? Start here.

Try it

  1. Install the EGM plugin in your coding agent (Antigravity, Claude Code or Codex) and start a new session.
  2. Open your project and run the brainstorm skill with a feature idea to write a concept brief.
  3. Use the draft skill to write a design document, then the review skill to have fresh reviewers check it.
