What it does
Easel is an open-source workspace for people who run social media accounts. It uses an AI agent (a program that can carry out tasks on its own) to go from an idea to a finished post. It helps find trending topics, plan posts, create text, images, audio and video, publish them, and then look at how they performed.
Each account gets its own profile with its focus, audience, style and past results. The makers say Easel uses this profile so its output fits the account better over time. Finished files are saved by project, so edits and retries do not get lost in a chat history.
It can log in to and publish on seven Chinese platforms: Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Kuaishou, Zhihu, Bilibili, WeChat Channels and WeChat Official Accounts. The README warns that Xiaohongshu may detect automated posting and limit accounts, so it suggests previewing and posting there by hand.
Who it's for
Social media creators and small content teams, especially those posting on Chinese platforms, who want help planning, making and publishing content.
