What it does
EAC-Desktop is an open-source desktop workspace built on DeepSeek Harness, an AI agent (a program that can take actions, not just chat). It brings together chatting with the AI, your project files, running tools and a collection of plugins (add-ons) in one window. The installer includes everything it needs to run, so you do not have to install extra software first.
You can start tasks inside a project folder, see which files the AI changed, and undo those changes. It shrinks older parts of long conversations so they keep fitting in the AI's memory. A built-in plugin market lets you find, install, turn on and off add-ons, with snapshots, health checks and rollback if something breaks.
Optional plugins add things like controlling your computer's AI sessions from WeChat, remote access from another PC, Android phone or browser, and a startup animation. The look of the app can be changed with skins from the market. The AI model itself comes from whichever provider you set up.
