E2B

Safe, isolated cloud computers where AI agents can run the code they write without risking your systems.

Widely used

What it does

When an AI writes code, running it directly on your computer can be risky. E2B provides sandboxes: sealed-off computers in the cloud where AI-generated code can run safely.

Developers start and control these sandboxes from their own apps using E2B's toolkits for Python and JavaScript. Extra toolkits add a code interpreter and a full virtual desktop that agents can use.

Using the hosted service requires signing up for an E2B account and API key.
