What it does
To teach an AI model, you often need examples labeled by people, such as marking whether a review is positive or highlighting names in a sentence. doccano is a web app for doing that labeling.
You create a project, upload text and invite others to help. It supports sorting text into categories, marking words and phrases, and pairing texts (for example for summaries or translations). It works in many languages and on phones too.
It runs on your own computer or server, installed with Python or Docker.
Who it's for
Researchers and teams who need to prepare labeled text data for machine learning.
