dlib

A long-standing C++ and Python toolkit for machine learning and computer vision, such as face detection.

What it does

dlib is a code library full of machine learning tools and algorithms for solving real-world problems. It is written in C++ and can also be used from Python.

Programmers build it into their own software. It comes with many example programs to learn from.

Its license is very permissive: the README says you can use it however you like, even in closed-source commercial software.
