What it does
DeepSeek Harness is an "agent harness": the software that wraps around an AI model so it can work as an agent, an AI that carries out tasks rather than only answering questions.
It is built so that nearly everything is a plug-in, a separate piece you can add or swap out. It starts a web page on your own computer where you use it, and others can publish plug-ins for it.
Its makers describe it as a developer preview that changes quickly, warn that updates may break things, and ask people to read their safety notice before running it.
Who it's for
Developers and curious tinkerers who want to try or extend an open agent system.
