DeepSearcher

Searches and reasons over your own private documents to give detailed answers and reports.

New this week

What it does

DeepSearcher is a "deep research" tool for private data. You load your own files, and it stores them in a vector database (a kind of database that finds text by meaning). When you ask a question, an AI model searches those files, reasons over what it finds and writes an answer or report.

It works with many AI models, including OpenAI, DeepSeek and Claude, and can also run local models through Ollama. It can add online content when needed.

Who it's for

Developers and companies who want AI answers based on their own internal documents.

Can I use it without coding?

Developers only. You install it with Python and set it up in code. New to this? Start here.

Can I run it?

Cost
Free, but needs an AI accountThe software is free, but it uses an online AI service (like OpenAI or Anthropic), which usually charges for use.
Computer
An ordinary computer is fine
Privacy
Your choice: run it on your device or use an online service
API key
Needed. An API key is a password-like code from an online AI service. What's that?

Try it

Using Claude Code, Cursor or another AI coding assistant? Paste the prompt and it will walk you through the setup.New to this?
