What it does
Deep-Live-Cam is face-swapping software. You choose a photo of a face, pick a camera or video, and it replaces the face in the video with the one from the photo, in real time. The result is known as a "deepfake".
Extra options include keeping your own mouth movements for more natural speech and swapping several faces at once. Its makers suggest uses such as animating characters, making content and live performances.
Its makers say it has built-in checks that block inappropriate media such as nudity or graphic content. They ask users to get consent before using a real person's face and to clearly label results as deepfakes when sharing them online.
Who it's for
Video creators, artists and performers who work with AI-generated media.
