What it does
Dayflow runs quietly on your Mac, records short pieces of screen activity and uses AI to turn them into a timeline of your day. It tries to understand what you were doing, not just which app was open.
From that timeline it prepares daily stand-up notes, a weekly review of focus and distractions, and lets you ask questions about your work in plain language. You can export the timeline as text.
Recordings and data stay on your Mac by default. You choose the AI: local models through Ollama or LM Studio, or a cloud service such as Gemini, ChatGPT or Claude, in which case activity data is sent to that service.
Who it's for
Mac users who want an automatic work journal or time tracker without starting timers.
Can I use it without coding?
Yes. Download the Mac app and grant screen recording permission. Local AI or a Gemini key need a little extra setup. New to this? Start here.
