What it does
Databend is a data warehouse, a system for storing and analysing large amounts of business data. It combines regular analysis with vector search (finding similar items, used in AI apps) and full-text search in one engine.
Its makers describe it as ready for AI agents: you can run agent code in isolated sandboxes and control it using SQL, the standard database language. A branching feature lets agents work on copies of data safely.
It can be used through a hosted cloud service, which has a free start, or run yourself.
Who it's for
Data engineers and companies building analytics or AI applications on large data sets.
Can I use it without coding?
