What it does
Dashboard Icons is a collection of thousands of icons and logos for apps, services and tools. They are made for home dashboards and app directories. Each icon comes as an SVG, PNG or WEBP image, often with light and dark versions. You can browse and download them on the project's website or link to them through a free CDN (a network that serves files quickly over the internet).
It also offers an MCP server. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is a standard way for AI assistants to use outside tools. Through it, assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT and Cursor can find the right icon and its link. The makers say it can match every service in a setup file to an icon in one step. It also searches other icon catalogs, such as Simple Icons.
The makers say the server is free and needs no API key. People can submit missing icons through a form on the website.
Who it's for
People who run home servers or build dashboards and want matching icons for their apps. It also suits people who use AI coding assistants to set up those dashboards.
