What it does
Cua is a set of tools for "computer use", where an AI agent operates a computer the way a person does: opening apps, clicking and typing. Its main app, Cua Spaces, gives agents full desktops as virtual machines (computers running inside your computer) on your Mac, on other machines you own, or in your own cloud account.
You and your agents can share the same desktop, each with your own cursor, so you can step in when a decision is needed. You can move a signed-in app like Chrome into a Space, and your logins stay encrypted on your Mac until you approve.
The project also includes Cua Driver for controlling desktop apps on Mac, Windows and Linux, Lume for creating virtual machines on Apple Silicon Macs, small specialised AI models, and tests for measuring how well agents perform.
Who it's for
Developers and researchers building AI agents that need to operate real software safely.
Can I use it without coding?
