Add-ons for AI coding tools

CLI Printing Press

Uses an AI coding assistant to build command-line tools and MCP servers for almost any app or website.

New this week

What it does

CLI Printing Press builds command-line tools (programs you control by typing commands) that AI agents can use. You name an app or point it at a website. It reads the official API docs (an API is a doorway that lets programs talk to each other), studies existing community tools, and can watch a website's traffic to work out its hidden API.

Each run produces a tool written in the Go programming language, plus an MCP server (a standard way for AI assistants to plug into outside tools) and a skill for Claude Code. The tools keep a local copy of data in a small database, so they can search offline and answer combined questions that the original API cannot answer on its own.

It works mainly through Claude Code, an AI coding assistant, using a slash command. Its makers say Claude Code gives the best-tested experience, with Codex also supported. Finished tools can be checked, scored, polished and shared to a public library.

Who it's for

Developers who use AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex and want fast, ready-made command-line tools for the apps and services they work with.

Can I use it without coding?

Developers only. It needs Go, Node and an AI coding agent installed, and it is used from the command line to produce developer tools. New to this? Start here.

Can I run it?

Cost
Free, but needs an AI accountThe software is free, but it uses an online AI service (like OpenAI or Anthropic), which usually charges for use.
Privacy
Sends what you give it to an online service

Try it

  1. Install Go, Node and Claude Code (or another supported AI coding agent).
  2. Run the project's install script, which sets up both the main program and the Printing Press skills.
  3. Start Claude Code and type the printing-press command followed by the name of an app or a website address.
