What it does
SEO (search engine optimisation) is the work of helping a website show up in search results. Claude SEO is a plugin for Claude Code, Anthropic's AI coding assistant, that runs many specialised checks on a site.
It covers technical problems, content quality, structured data that search engines read, local and international search, online shops, and how well a site works with AI search tools. It can run many checks at the same time and produce reports.
Its makers say every recommendation explains what it is based on and how you would know if it didn't work. Optional extensions add live data from outside SEO services.
