claude-obsidian

Uses Claude Code to turn your sources into a linked, cited knowledge base of notes in Obsidian.

What it does

claude-obsidian is a set of skills for Claude Code and similar AI assistants that builds a personal knowledge base in Obsidian, a popular note-taking app. You drop a source, such as an article or document, into an inbox folder, and the AI reads it, writes linked notes and records where each claim came from.

You can then ask questions that are answered from the evidence already in your notes, run research, check for broken links and gaps, and build visual maps. Everything stays as ordinary Markdown files on your own computer.

Its makers say it is not an automatic transcript recorder, a cloud sync service or a substitute for backups.

Who it's for

Researchers, writers and note-takers who use Obsidian and Claude Code and want an AI-maintained "second brain".
