What it does
Cindy is an AI agent, a program that can carry out tasks for you rather than just chat. It runs on your own computer and works with your real files and the apps you are logged into. Its makers say it can drive your browser, your computer and your phone, and take on work from chat apps or on a schedule.
It brings together different AI coding tools, starting with Claude Code and Codex, and different AI models. You can switch between them in the middle of a task while your memory, skills and tools carry over. It can remember corrections, reuse ways of working you teach it, run recurring jobs and connect to your other tools through MCP (a standard way to plug tools into AI).
This repository holds the free desktop and mobile apps. You can sign in to the paid Cindy online service, use a Claude Code or Codex plan you already pay for, add your own API keys, or use local models. A 'Skip Sign-In' option runs local agents without a Cindy account, but some online features are then unavailable.
Who it's for
People who want an AI assistant that can do hands-on work across their files, apps and devices, and who may already use Claude Code or Codex.
Can I use it without coding?
