What it does
Fine-tuning means taking an existing AI language model and teaching it extra skills or a particular style using your own examples. Axolotl is a framework for doing that.
It supports many popular open models and several training methods, including lighter ones that need less graphics memory. It can spread training across several graphics cards or machines.
Its makers say trained models can be exported for use in tools such as llama.cpp and Ollama.
Who it's for
Machine-learning engineers and researchers who want to customise open AI models.
