What it does
Awesome Open Source AI is a long, hand-picked list of open-source projects for people building with AI. Each entry links to the project and gives a one- or two-line description.
The list is split into sections such as core frameworks, AI models, tools for running models, AI agents, image and media tools, training, testing and safety, ready-made apps you can host yourself, and learning resources.
Its makers say projects don't need a minimum number of GitHub stars to be included. Instead, they aim to include projects that are useful, well documented or important to a part of the AI world, so readers don't have to sort through a giant directory.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants to explore what open-source AI tools and models exist. It is mostly aimed at people who build with AI, but curious readers can browse it too.
