What it does
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools and data, such as files, databases or web services. An "MCP client" is an app that can connect to these tools.
This page lists many such apps, from chat programs and coding assistants to command-line tools and Slack bots, with a short description of each.
It is a reading list rather than software. The README notes that a more up-to-date version of the list is kept on the Glama website.
