What it does
Atlas is described as source control for coding agents. Source control is the system programmers use to track every change to their code. Atlas links each saved change back to the AI session that made it, including the prompts and steps taken.
You can run Claude Code, Codex, Atlas's own agent and others in the same window on the same project. A shared memory means one agent can pick up what another decided, so switching agents does not mean starting over.
Its makers say code, notes and sessions stay on your machine by default, and it works offline without an account. Signing in is only needed to sync with a team.
Who it's for
Programmers who use AI coding agents and want to track and share what those agents did.
