What it does
Appllama Skills is a pair of "skills" for AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. A skill is a folder of instructions the assistant follows. These skills teach it how to research and build mobile app screens.
One skill, appllama-usage, guides the assistant through the Appllama MCP. MCP is a way for AI tools to connect to outside services. Here it connects to Appllama's library of screens and design patterns from top-grossing mobile apps.
The other skill, appllama-app-design-skill, sets rules for building native-feeling screens with Expo and React Native, which are tools for making phone apps. It covers navigation, animation and checking the result in a phone simulator. It works with or without the Appllama connection.
