What it does
This is an MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way to give AI assistants extra tools. This one connects your assistant to Apify, a platform of ready-made web scrapers and automation tools called Actors.
With it, an assistant can, for example, gather search results, pull details from Google Maps, read posts from social media pages or fetch any web page as text.
It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP apps. The makers recommend their hosted version; it can also run on your own computer.
Who it's for
People and developers who want their AI assistant to gather information from the web.
