Apache TVM

A toolkit that turns trained AI models into compact programs that run efficiently on many kinds of hardware.

New this week

What it does

Apache TVM is a machine learning compiler. A compiler is software that translates a program into a form a particular computer chip can run quickly. TVM does this for AI models, so the same model can be packaged to run on different devices.

Its makers say it is designed so engineers can customise each step in Python, and that it can serve as a foundation for building specialised compilers, for example for large language models.

It started as a research project on deep learning compilation and is now run by the Apache open-source community.

Who it's for

Engineers and researchers who need AI models to run fast on specific hardware. It is not an app for everyday users.

Can I use it without coding?

Developers only. It is a programming toolkit; installation and tutorials are on the project's documentation site. New to this? Start here.
