What it does
Apache Doris is a database built to answer questions about very large amounts of data quickly, often in under a second, even while new data keeps arriving. Companies use this kind of database for reports, dashboards and analysing logs.
For AI, it can search by exact values, by words in text, and by meaning ("vector search", which AI apps use to find similar content), all in one place using the standard SQL database language. It can also query data stored in other common formats without moving it.
Who it's for
Data engineers and companies running large-scale analytics or AI search.
