Add-ons for AI coding tools

Skills

Example instruction folders that teach the Claude AI assistant how to do specific tasks the same way every time.

What it does

Skills are folders of instructions, scripts and resources that Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant, loads when needed. They teach Claude how to do a particular job in a repeatable way, such as making documents that follow a company's brand style or analysing data with a set workflow.

This collection holds example skills covering creative work (art, music, design), technical tasks (testing web apps, building MCP servers, which are add-ons that connect AI to other tools) and business work like communications and branding. It also includes the skills behind Claude's ability to create and edit Word, PDF, PowerPoint and Excel files, plus a template and a written specification for making your own.

Each skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file: a short name and description, followed by plain written instructions. The makers say the skills are for demonstration and learning, and that Claude's real behaviour may differ.

Who it's for

People who use Claude, through Claude Code, Claude.ai or the Claude API, and want ready-made skills or examples to build their own.

Can I use it without coding?

With some setup. You add the skills inside Claude Code with a couple of built-in commands, or upload them in Claude.ai, and writing your own skill only needs a plain text file. New to this? Start here.

Can I run it?
