Running AI at scale

Angel

A system for training machine learning models on very large data across many computers.

New this week

What it does

Angel is a platform for training machine learning models when the data and the model are too big for one machine. It splits a model's settings across many servers and keeps them in step during training.

It was developed by Tencent and Peking University and is written in Java and Scala. It runs on Yarn and Spark, common tools for big data clusters.

It includes many ready-made methods, such as logistic regression, decision-tree methods and recommendation models, plus graph computing.

Who it's for

Engineers at companies who train models on very large datasets.

Can I use it without coding?

Developers only. It is meant for big data clusters and needs engineering skills. New to this? Start here.
