What it does
This is a free course from Microsoft that teaches the basics of building AI agents, meaning AI that can plan and take actions rather than just answer questions. Each lesson stands on its own, so you can start wherever you like.
Every lesson has a written explanation, a short video, Python code examples and links for further learning. Topics start with what agents are and how agent frameworks compare, then move on to more advanced patterns.
The code examples use Microsoft's own agent tools and services, which need an Azure account, though some samples also work with other providers. The course is translated into many languages.
