What it does
ACI.dev is a platform that lets AI agents use outside tools, such as Google Calendar, Slack, Vercel or Supabase. Its makers say it hooks up more than 600 tools. Instead of building a separate login and connection for each service, developers let ACI.dev handle sign-ins and passwords for them.
Agents can reach these tools in two ways. One is a Python SDK (a ready-made code package). The other is a single MCP server. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is a standard way for AI apps to plug into tools. The platform also lets you set limits on what an agent may do in plain language, and it keeps a log of how the agent used each tool.
The makers suggest uses like personal assistant chatbots, research agents, sales and customer support agents, and "VibeOps": letting an AI coding tool set up and launch a website or database for you. There is also a hosted version at the project's website.
Who it's for
Developers building AI agents, or people using AI coding tools, who want their AI to work with many online apps without wiring up each one by hand.
Can I use it without coding?
Developers only. Running the platform yourself means setting up a backend server and a web portal, and using it with agents involves code or MCP configuration. New to this? Start here.
