What it does
ACE-Step UI is an interface for ACE-Step, an open-source AI model that generates music. Its makers present it as a free, local alternative to paid services like Suno and Udio.
You can create full songs with vocals and lyrics, instrumentals, or variations, set the tempo and key, use an audio file as a style reference, and redo parts of a track. It includes a lyrics editor, a library with playlists, an audio editor, a tool to split vocals from instruments, and a simple music video maker.
It runs on your own machine and needs an NVIDIA graphics card; the README says 4 GB of video memory works and 12 GB is recommended.
Who it's for
Musicians, hobbyists and content creators who want to make AI music privately without a subscription.
